Taking bookings on your website

As well as taking bookings via Bedful channels, you can (and should) also use the booking system on your own website. Bookings taken this way are commission free and you also minimise any chance of clashes of availability with any of the sales channels integrated with Bedful, as they run on the same system.

0% commission

We charge 0% commission on bookings made on your website. The only charge payable for bookings made via your own website is the low payment processing fee of 1.4% + 20p (for UK-issued cards; 2.9% + 20p for international cards) on the transaction amount – this goes directly to the payment provider Stripe, for card processing costs.

Bookings previously made via the Bedful channels (e.g. Cool Camping), those made via the widget on your own website (Web), and those added manually by you (Dashboard) are clearly distinguished on the bookings dashboard and the commission/payment fees worked out accordingly under the channel column.

Taking bookings

You can use several methods to take bookings on your own website. The simplest is just to use a link to your page on book.bedful.com, and we'll take care of the rest, or you can include a calendar and show availability in your own page. To see the options available, visit Site > Setup > Share > Widgets.

Booking link

The simplest way to share a booking link is just to share the link to your own page on book.bedful.com. This page lists all your units and lets customers on a mobile-friendly booking flow. You can use this link with any software, including Wordpress or Wix, and can style the button or link as you prefer to fit exactly with your website styling.

Booking button

The booking button is a bit of HTML you can copy out and paste into your website, which links to the booking link with the phrase "Book Now". Note, if integrating with Wix, we recommend you simply use the link provided, as Wix tends to put HTML into an iframe, which won't work well with the button.

Booking calendar or grid

You can also choose a calendar widget or grid to display availability directly on your website prior to booking. This gives you a bit of HTML code, including an iframe, which you can copy and paste into your website editor (including sites like Wordpress) or hand to your developers to integrate into their HTML templates.
