Connecting Bedful with booking.com

While we update our iCal feeds every 15mins, Booking.com may take 4 hours to update from their end. If you are integrating with Booking.com and using Bedful on your own website you should not additionally block out dates manually on your Booking.com calendar. Instead, allow the iCal to feed the booking through automatically to ensure you don't get booking clashes or cause any other problems with integration. Currently, we only receive a very basic booking feed from Booking.com, which blocks out the period on your Bedful dashboard as an 'Unavailable' block. It may be useful to Edit those blocks to change them to 'confirmed' bookings and to add the booking name and price paid into the booking on Bedful for your own records. To determine if an Unavailable block is from Booking.com, click the block, and look for an 'Added by Integration' note at the top of the page, where it will also display the name of the integration (eg Booking.com).

Importing bookings from booking.com

To sync Booking.com bookings to your Bedful calendar go to your Booking.com account to find the iCal URLs. Create the Booking.com integration on Bedful as follows:

  • Go to Setup > Share > API
  • Click the 'ADD INTEGRATION' button
  • Select 'iCal' from the 'Integration Type' dropdown menu, give the integration a name (e.g. Filly Field Glamping Booking.com Integration) and save
  • Once created, edit then select the grey Units tab, before ticking the units you want to integrate and inserting the correct Booking.com iCal url in the 'Calendar URL' field then Save changes.

Exporting bookings to booking.com

To sync your existing Bedful bookings to your Booking.com calendar:

Find the iCal URL for each unit from your Bedful dashboard (Setup > Share > iCal). Highlight and copy the iCal url for the unit. Open your Booking.com account and import the URLs as directed.
