Revenue Reporting

Bedful revenue reports are based on the date money is received by your site, and include changes like refunds, cancellations etc where they affect that revenue. Details of payments received are not impacted by bookings moving around, as we store the payment date and information separately within each booking. The figures on the dashboard are total figures - for a full breakdown, detailing commission, stripe fees etc, please see the revenue report under the revenue tab.

Revenue Reports

Revenue reports are calculated on the basis of payments received for a given time period, revenue booked in the period but not yet paid is not included. A breakdown of revenue per channel is provided.

Bedful Dashboard and Revenue

The following values are available on your Bedful Dashboard:

Payments Received

The Payments received on the site dashboard reports the revenue received from payments during the dates specified, even if the bookings were confirmed at different dates. Note that this may be more than booking value as it also includes balance payments received during this time. Note also that payments received only reports payments processed via the bedful platform (on our sales channels, the site web channel, or dashboard bookings), it does not include revenue from other sales channels.

Booking Value

The Booking Value on the site dashboard reports the new booking value based on the sum of prices for bookings confirmed between these dates. This is based on all bookings for the period where we have price data, including third party sales channels.

Average Booking Value

The Average Booking Value on the site dashboard reports the new booking value based on the sum of prices for bookings confirmed between these dates. This is based on all bookings for the period where we have price data, including third party sales channels.

Changes to Reporting

In early 2021, we changed the basis of revenue reporting to be based on payment dates, rather than date of booking, to cope with significant upheaval caused by the Coronavirus crisis, which meant an abnormally large number of bookings were moving from year to year.

In June 2021, some figures on the revenue dashboard were recalculated to be in line with the reporting basis of our revenue report and other reports. This means that the revenue graph and total revenue figures are now based on payments received during the specified period rather than on the total value of bookings placed in that time, and we now have a separate dot for Booking Value, which reports the old revenue figure.
